Hans George was born in Shankhill, Belfast on 19 January 1858, and enlisted into the Royal Munster Fusiliers on 19 January 1876, aged 18 years. Having reached the rank of Colour Sergeant in July 1882, he was appointed Paymaster Sergeant in September 1882 and transferred to the Army Pay Corps on its formation on 1 April 1883. Promoted Staff Sergeant Major on 14 March 1894, he served with the Corps during the Boer War in South Africa between 20 October 1899 and 10 April 1901, and was Mentioned in Despatches (London Gazette 8 February 1901). He was awarded his Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in July 1894 and the Meritorious Service Medal with an annuity of £5 on 8 May 1901. He was appointed to the Yeomen of the Guard in 1908 and received the Coronation Medal in 1911. He died on 11 July 1921.

Within the UK
If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. This service provides parcel tracking (via the Royal Mail website) and next weekday delivery (betwen 9am and 1pm). Items delivered within the UK are covered by our insurance company. Heavy and bulky lots will be sent by courier, in discussion with the client.

Outside of the UK
If the item/s being sent are worth under £1000 in total they are sent using Royal Mail’s Signed For International service. This ensures the item must be signed for when it is delivered.
If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
