Emission Bank of Poland, Warsaw Resistance 10 Zlotych, 1 March 1940, serial number L 7972272, 100 Zlotych, 1 August 1941, serial number A 6369176, and a forged 50 Zlotych, 1940 or 1941, no serial numbers, reverse print on both sides, the 10 Zlotych with black handstamp on reverse, paper damaged at lower right corner, about very fine, the 100 Zlotych with black handstamps on obverse and reverse, very fine, the forged 50 Zlotych with black stamps on one side only, paper somewhat toned, very small tear at lower margin, extremely fine, an interesting group of historical items (3 notes)
Pick 94, 96 or 102, 103 £100-£150

---

The stamp on the reverse of the 10 Zlotych was added by the Warsaw Resistance in response to the Nazis using their own overprints on Emission Bank notes. It depicts a swastika being hung from the gallows, and is encircled by a German-language play on words that translates as ‘Germany fails on all fronts.’

The 100 Zlotych stamp is for a Polish military women’s camp

The forged 50 Zlotych is stamped with FALSCH EMISSIONSBANK (Emission Bank forgery) and Warschau (Warsaw) - a curious attempt at a forgery with somewhat crude printing and with the obverse design on both sides
