Four: Colour Sergeant H. Bright, Essex Regiment, later Bedfordshire Regiment, who was present on the First Day of the Gallipoli landings, 25 April 1915, and was wounded by gunshot to the right hand at Gully Ravine on 28 June 1915

Harry Bright landed at Cape Helles, Gallipoli with the 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment on 25 April 1915. Led by Lieutenant Colonel Godfrey Faussett, the Battalion achieved a small foothold with the capture of Hill 138 at a cost of 3 officers and 15 other ranks killed and 8 officers and 87 other ranks wounded. Engaged in operations at Fir Tree Wood on 5 May 1915 - which were fiercely resisted and beaten back - the 1st Battalion succeeded in capturing their objective two weeks later at a cost of 6 dead, 20 wounded and 3 missing in action. Reputedly wounded in action at Gully Ravine on 28 June 1915, Bright was admitted to St. George’s Hospital in London on 22 August 1915 suffering from a gunshot wound to the right hand.

If you live within the UK, items will be despatched using Royal Mail Special Delivery. Outside of the UK

If the item/s being sent are valued at over £1000 in total they will be sent using FedEx. This service allows next day delivery to customers in many parts of the US and parcels are fully trackable using the FedEx website.
